It is through a post published on Google Plus that the Mountain View company has unveiled a new feature for Google Glass that allows to take pictures with a wink.
Since April 2013 already, we suspected that Google would allow to take pictures with a simple blink of an eye with Google Glass. On Reddit, a user had published lines of code embedded without MyGlass application, that's available on Android. This line "EYE_GESTURE_WINK_TAKE_PHOTO" should indeed allow to take pictures from Google Glass with a simple blink of eye. It was however only on Tuesday that Google has made this feature official. To enable this option, users of Google Glass can simply activate it in the settings of their glasses. "We’re starting with pictures, but just think about what else is possible. Imagine a day where you’re riding in the back of a cab and you just wink at the meter to pay. You wink at a pair of shoes in a shop window and your size is shipped to your door..." says Google, that does not plan to stop there.
Moreover, in the same post published by Google on its social network, we learn that MyGlass for iPhone is also provided. It has actually been published for a few hours on Tuesday before being removed from the Apple App Store. It should nevertheless be permanently available by the end of the week.
