Facebook Home Is Finally Here

As promised, Facebook has launched its new application launcher on Google Play, bringing a totally bewildering experience on Android. But wait before you pack! For its launch, Facebook Home only works on the following devices: HTC One X One X +, Samsung Galaxy S III, Galaxy Tab II and HTC First, the first device to come preloaded with Home.

In addition, this restriction, Facebook Home is only available in the U.S. at the moment. For those who do not know and who missed the presentation in various articles, it replaces the home screen and lock screen of an Android smartphone and incorporates its own application launcher, giving priority to specific applications of Facebook, such as Instagram and Messenger.

The application uses a new interface named "wire cover" that allows you to see all the latest publications of your friends at a glance on your phone. Your Facebook news appear when you turn on your phone or press the home button and the content posted by your friends, whether photos, articles, links or other content.
It also includes a new "Chat heads" that displays messages and profile pictures next to the sender. In other words, your text messages and Facebook posts are gathered in one place.

Chat heads may also be an optional element for Messenger application on Android updated earlier in the day. You will be able to opt out conversations so that they persist even when using other applications. To access the Chat heads, you must press and hold a preview of a conversation and select "Open chat head" in the submenu that appears. Therefore, the "bubble" will be placed on your screen, which you can move around.

Facebook announced Home in a press conference last week, touting this application as a new way of prioritizing people and applications on our devices.
