After months and months of leaks and announcements here and there, now Motorola formalizes the Moto X, its new smartphone created under the eyes of Google - the U.S. company bought Motorola in 2011. As agreed, it features a 4.7-inch display with 720p HD resolution along with a double heart Snapdragon S4 Pro processor that works with Motorola X8 Computing System. The camera has 10 megapixel rear and 2 megapixel front. In technology, Motorola has incorporated Bluetooth 4.0 to allow communication with compatible devices. Finally, the Moto X has a 2200 mAh battery and runs on Android 4.2.2. We imagine that version 4.3 is expected soon. Motorola Moto X will also feature a "Google Edition" i.e. with pure Android without the overlay of the manufacturer. Samsung already has this system with its Galaxy S4 and HTC with the One.
With Moto X, Motorola brings real added value by offering customization. More than 18 colors are available, it is up to the buyer to set up the model he wants from Moto Maker, the website dedicated to the process site. Customizable element is the rear seat, with several shades (dark, light, etc.), as well as adding a signature or engraving on the back of the device. Motorola took the opportunity to propose protective shells from Belkin or Case Mate to protect the Moto X. Other Accessories are also available. At the hardware level, only the storage can be selected (16 or 32GB).The Moto X starts at $ 199 ($ 249 for the 32GB model) .
In fact, the smartphone is assembled in the U.S., unlike the others which are in Asia and particularly in China. It is with this assembly in the U.S. that Americans will be able to have the personalized model within 4 days. For now, the Moto X will be available in late August / early September for all U.S. carriers. No listing for international unfortunately. We imagine that the decision has not been taken yet.
