The hacker posixninja announced via his Twitter feed that the jailbreak exploits for the next version of iOS had been found. It has only been a few weeks since the famous Evasi0n jailbreak was patched by Apple in their 6.1.3 update. While this is really great news it is not known if he will save the exploits he found on his own over the last few months for an immediate jailberak, or wait for iOS 7 and take the small risk of it being patched.
The jailbreak is a quite complex thing. Developers need to find security holes in the operating system to insert the code "malicious". Some faults are quickly corrected by Apple, but others remain between the different versions of iOS.
Thus, the hacker posixninja have found loopholes rather interesting that Apple would not be ready to correct. It is intended rather confident to jailbreak iOS 7, Apple is expected within the next few months.
