Based on the principle that we are consuming more and more content on our different platforms, PC, Mac, ChromeBook, tablet or smartphone, but also that our digital life stood at more of a device that we would leave at home. Google therefore has announced the ChromeCast, a small dongle that plugs in the HDMI on your TV and allow you to stream content from any device with Chrome or compatible software such as Youtube for example.
With a 2" size , the ChromeCast incorporates a lightweight version of Chrome, and is powered from a single USB port. The big difference is that the ChromeCast loads, in the case of Youtube for example, the video and not the device that sends the command, so, it frees it for other actions. Obviously, the basic commands such as volume can be controlled from the smartphone via WiFi. Priced at $35 (with a 3 month of Netflix included) in the United States.
