As expected, Sundar Pichai, head of Android and Chrome division at Google, has officially announced the arrival of Android 4.3 during the presentation of the new tablet Nexus 7. A new version of Jelly Bean that pushes the expected Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie out.

Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is a modest update of the system. One of the main changes is the integration of Bluetooth Smart and Bluetooth Low Energy. It is a new system of bluetooth focusing on energy and preserving the life of the battery savings. Android 4.3 also sees the emergence of restrictive profiles. It is a way to secure the tablet for children avoiding access to offensive and pornographic content. The other reason is to avoid in-app payments from children.

The new interface of the camera was already an open secret. Both the HTC One Google Edition as the Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition already had the latest version of the camera with a menu system with arc style. The new menu provides easy access to options. The quality and performance of the camera seem identical however. The dialer screen has also received a facelift and now supports special characters needed in some countries.

The new Android 4.3 also includes the ability to record a history of notifications. Some believe that the addition of this feature is for users of Google's new mobile devices (Google Glass on top).Netflix is also launching a new application for tablets for watching movies in 1080P.

In the Wi-Fi settings, users will find a new option to enable named "Scanning always available" which allows the phone to use Google's location services, even if the Wi-Fi feature is disabled. This prevents applications from pushing you to activate Wi-Fi in order to obtain more precise coordinates.
