A new app from Instagram makes it possible for users to create amazing timelapse videos using nothing but their iPhones. Timelapse videos - which take frames at slow speeds to give the illusion that time is speeding up - have always been difficult to create, and required expensive equipment.
But Instagram's new Hyperlapse app combines the simplicity of the photo sharing service and an image stabiliser to put timelapse photography in everyone's hands. The app launched last week, and users have already created stunning short clips of world famous landmarks, natural wonders and even the President landing on the White House lawn in his helicopter.
Here's some of the best Hyperlapses we've seen so far.
