Rock-paper-scissors, an effective game to decide quickly between friends to know which restaurant to visit or witch movie to watch. However, the game takes on a whole different dimension when performed by two computers.
The German art collective weAREmedienkuenstler has indeed programmed two computers connected by an Ethernet cable to make them play the game. At the end of the three seconds, the "choice" of the two computers is displayed as minimalist icons on each screen, before starting a new game. Besides the artistic interest, however, we remain skeptical face such a performance, computers generating purely random symbol and not using the strategic dimension that can exist when two people play rock-paper-scissors. Given the purely random nature of the work, so everything indicates that the game will last longer.
