Google released a new version of Google Maps 7.0.0 for Android smartphones. The update will be progressively deployed on phones and tablets running Android 4.0.3 and later during the weeks to come.
Google Maps developers have made a slight redesign on this version's interface with a new look and an overhaul of cards menus. Navigation is improved, including traffic information on the road, accident reports and the information about detours. Google also reviewed how to discover interesting places: restaurants, bars and shops.
If you do not have the application, do not worry. Just wait a bit, the process can take some time.
