Gallery Of All WWDC Banner For The Last 11 Years




Each year, thousands of Apple developers go to San Francisco to attend the World Wide Developers Conference of Apple (International Developers Conference) to be informed of all Apple products.  During the last decade the conference known many big changes and announcements with Apple products such as iPhone, Mac Pro, Intel, the Mac OS X operating system and much more!
An event that has become one of the most popular developer conferences worldwide and witch tickets are sold within two minutes this year.


Here is a gallery of all the banners that have decorated the halls of WWDC during the last 11 years:

2002


Apple announced OS X 10. 2 (Jaguar), QuickTime 6, and held a mock funeral for OS 9 to tell developers there would be no more Mac OS 9 development.





2003


Apple busted out the Power Mac G5 and previewed OS X 10.3 (Panther). They also launched Safari 1.0 as well as iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD, and iChat. All attendees received a free iSight web camera too.





2004


Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger was a the big story at WWDC 2004, with lots of signage making fun of Microsoft. Apple also introduced new displays, and iTunes 4.9 that had integrated podcast support.





2005


The biggest announcement at 2005’s WWDC was that Apple would be switching over to Intel processors. OS X 10.5 (Leopard) was previewed and Apple announced that the iPod had gained a 75% market share.





2006


The glorious Mac Pro was announced to replace the Power Mac G5. Full 64-bit app support, Time Machine, Boot Camp, Front Row, and a few other enhancements were announced for Leopard.







2007


Apple had announced the iPhone in January of 2007, so when WWDC 2007 started on June 11th, developers were hoping Apple would announce an SDK for third-party apps. However, Apple instead announced support for third-party development via online web applications running in Safari.






2008


One year after telling developers they wouldn’t allow third-party apps on the iPhone, Apple announced the iPhone SDK at WWDC 2008 along with the iPhone 3G. MobileMe was also announced as a rebranding of .Mac.





2009


Apple announced the launch of the iPhone 3GS as well as iOS 3.0. Macbook Pros received updates as well..







2010


WWDC 2010 was the year Apple really celebrated iPhone apps. They constructed a huge wall of iPads that displayed how often individual apps get downloaded. This WWDC also saw the announcement of the iPhone 4 and Facetime.







2011


WWDC 2011 sold out in just 12 hours. Apple unveiled OS X 10.7 (Lion), as well as iOS 5 and iCloud. This was Steve Jobs’s last keynote for Apple.





2012


Last year at WWDC, Apple surprised us by unveiling the the MacBook Pro with Retina display alongside new MacBook Airs. iOS 6 was also previewed with new Siri features, Facebook integration, Passbook, and Apple Maps.






2013


iOS 7 is the most anticipated update for iOS since the App Store was included in iOS 2. With Jony Ive taking over for Scott Forstall in Human Interface design, iOS 7 is expected to come with a drastically different look that is flat, minimal, and more modern.




We’ll also likely get our first glimpse of OS X 10.9 at the WWDC keynote, but will Apple surprise us with any new hardware?
