Fujitsu Presents An Interface That Combines Reality With Imagination

Fujitsu KENKYUSHO (or Fujitsu Laboratories) is a subsidiary of the Japanese group Fujitsu located in Kawasaki. She had a few days ago an interface called "FingerLink Interaction System" which allows you to switch from analog to digital in a gesture of the hand, or rather fingers prototype, because they are the ones that monitors the system.

Fujitsu sees it camera as the perfect complement to a smartphone to easily scan information from paper documents and forward them to the mobile phone, or as a help to complete an administrative form of government such as providing examples and explanations of the parts of the user-selected document. The Japanese consider marketing it during the Japanese fiscal year 2014, by the ending of March 2015.

To use the FingerLink Interaction System , we place under the elevated platform at 50 cm a document (book, magazine, advertisement, newspaper ...). The two cameras that includes the platform will allow the user to operate a series of commands with his hands: Selections from the areas of the document of interest, scans and analyzes information (text or graphics) ...

The system allows Fujitsu to operate on a document "analog" gestures that we have now used to do on a modern capacitive touchscreen interface : selection, copy, zoom ...

The user sees what he is trying to accomplish because a miniature projector is also present in the platform, which displays real-time graphical representation of the actions required or being performed by the device .
