While the jailbreak community holds its breath and jump on any information gateway that hackers give us about a possible jailbreak of iOS 7, MuscleNerd, the leader of the famous iPhone Dev Team (Redsn0w is one of their achievements ) announces on Twitter that there is currently no bootrom exploits available regarding all recent processors of Apple devices (above the A5).
However, all is not yet lost. Responding to a question from @ MrShortFry, which asks whether "Apple has knocked hackers", MuscleNerd says "Not even close." If we add to this p0sixninja and the surprise that he reserves for the community, surprise still shrouded in mystery, we can say that the hackers still have few resources, and the fight is far from over.
As a reminder, the last bootrom exploit found so far is that of GeoHot, Limera1n, and allows devices with an A4 processor (such as the iPhone 4) to have a tethered jailbreak, regardless of their version iOS. A bootrom exploit is a flaw related to hardware, uncorrectable via an update.
