Answer Calls With a Wave Of Your Hand With HandsFree

Sometimes you get phone calls from people at inconvenient times, such as when your hands are all dirty after working on a car or cooking, or when you're driving and you need your hands to be operating the car and not your phone.

HandsFree is a recently released jailbreak tweak that works in conjunction with iOS 7′s Phone and FaceTime apps and introduces the ability to answer incoming calls straight to speaker with a simple wave of your hand. The key phrase here is “straight to speaker,” as this tweak eliminates the two-step process previously required to answer a call and enable speakerphone.

The tweak achieves this by using the device's proximity sensor to detect when you wave your hand in front of the device. When it sees your hand, it will answer the phone call and automatically enable speaker phone (since you won't be using your hands to hold the device up to your face/ear anyways).

Even with the tweak installed, you can still just tap on the green answer button if you WANT to.

HandsFree comes with multiple customization options in its settings panel, allowing users to configure how many waves are required to answer a call and how fast those waves have to be. The number of necessary waves varies depending on if the device is locked or unlocked, helping to minimize the chance of accidentally answering a call when, for example, taking the device out of a pocket.

If you would like to give HandsFree a try, it's available right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository for just 0.99$ . We can tell you from our testing that this tweak works very nicely, and it's nicely integrated into the call-answering interface itself. We can definitely recommend this tweak to people that need a way to answer phone calls when their hands are tied!
