Google Maps offers through Street View a free travel in many streets in the world. For these places, the Mountain View company uses the Google Car, but in Venice, it is forbidden to drive a car in the streets. The company had to adapt to the city to offer a trip for the Internet users. It has been forced to walk nearly 427 Km on foot and 184 Km on a Gondola. The result is amazing and Street View invites you to escape a few minutes from your computer and enjoy this lovely place.

The person in charge of mapping Venice had to carry all the equipment on his back on a Gondola. Google is not gone unnoticed in this very touristic city. To recap, the Trekker is a backpack a little bulky which weighs about 18 Kg. Every 2.5 seconds, fifteen objectives operate to take pictures that have a resolution of 5 megapixels. The Mountain View firm then integrates Google Maps and Street View, so you can visit all the place in the world from your house.
